Job Responsibilities
- Develop concept designs related to sheet metal and plastics using advanced design methodologies and techniques.
- Identify, analyze, and implement cost reduction ideas, ensuring they deliver measurable benefits to the organization.
- Work with suppliers through the sourcing team on sample development, prototyping, tooling, and timeline management.
- Coordinate the creation of Engineering Change Notices and collaborate with Manufacturing teams to implement ideas effectively.
- Lead and coordinate design reviews, ensuring approvals from all relevant cross-functional teams.
Job Requirements
- Proficiency in cost analysis and should costing for concept designs.
- Proficient in DFMEA and functional analysis.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, setups, and routing.
- Strong project management capabilities.
- Knowledge of Bill of Materials and Engineering Change Notice processes.
- Expertise in sheet metal and plastic design methodologies.
